Between October 14th and November 5th, I had the amazing opportunity to spend time in an amazing studio located in SE Portland. I started out with some broad goals: 1) connecting my digital work to my physical; 2) working on talking about my art; 3) taking time and space for creating. We had an amazing group of thinkers between the Residency creator, his partner, and myself. I quickly found myself trusting my intuition, granting myself permission in new exploratory pieces, and ultimately creating work that challenges stories that build my identity.
