I have the honor to show the mural I created at my Portland residency in a storefront gallery window located in South Lake Union, Seattle! EmBody will be displayed from June 12-October 13! Submitting this piece to showcase gave me the opportunity to think and write about the importance of permission and power of taking up space. It has grown with me as I still love what it brought out while making it and sharing it has been powerful! Come enjoy it in person and walk along it for the art walk 7/13!

My mural is an act of self love and a contradiction to the oppression that impacts my mind and body. While painting I found power in the process and felt really sweet moments of liberation.
